I had a similarly bad experience with Ring Central. Customer service was just flat out bad. I was attracted to their price but the downtime has cost my business more money then if I went to a provider that focused more on support and actually took the time to fix my problem

Bob - we use VirtualPBX.com , and have been with them for 4 years. We did consider moving to ringcentral, based on the price. I am SO GLAD we stayed with VIRTUALPBX.com

On price - 4 years ago when we signed up they were more a little bit expensive (15%) , but we chose VirtualPBX because we felt they had a better product. SINCE then they have brought their prices in line with others like Ringcentral but have not sacraficed their support or quality of service. We changed planes to the VPBX-20 and it as good of a deal as any one else.

On support - We love these guys, they actually care about making their service work to fit our business needs. We have a sales team that all work from 3 different locations, and they helped us configure and test the queues and backup queues. Then they followed up 3 weeks later to make sure it was all working OK. I can still talk to the same people today as when I started 4 years ago. I think the fact that they can keep the same people at the company also says something good about them.

On staying in touch with us - We receive calls from England and soon after they added a new feauture where we can get International numbers as well as US toll free numbers to ring into our system, they called to tell us how we could get a UK number. I know this is them selling to us, but in the long run it helps us get more from the service. And we did buy a UK number. Now our UK customers dial a local London number to reach our support team here in the states. Makes us look like an multi-national company.

We are happy and their system has helped us focus on our business and not the phone systems.

Kudos to VirtualPBX for starting this industry and morphing themselves to continue to be a leader in price, product and mostly support.
